Maintenance Requests

A request for maintenance regarding some common element (not your interior living space) should be directed to AMC. The management company prioritizes maintenance and assigns them as appropriate to outside vendors or to our maintenance personnel.  This website is not an acceptable way to communicate with AMC.

Doggie Waste Bag Dispensers

It’s the law!  Dog owners are required to pick up dog waste to protect public health.  To make this task convenient for residents, dispensers with waste disposal bags are available in four locations on the grounds of Willow Brook Condominiums , including the dog-run.  The dispensers are filled by Willow Brook staff as needed.   The white bag has a second layer of thick black plastic to protect your hand as you scoop up the dog waste. After scooping, roll the bag back off of your hand so the outside of the bag (and the dog waste), is now inside the bag.  Tie a knot in the bag and place in the nearest dumpster.   Though WB is private property, we are an open complex and dog owners from the surrounding neighborhoods may walk through and sometimes dogs come without an owner!  As a result not all waste is picked up when it should be.  Please help keep Willow Brook healthy by picking up any waste you see.

Recycling

In St. Louis County, single family homes do not pay for recyclable trash pickup but commercial and multiple-family customers such as Willow Brook Condos pay for the optional service. The Association of Owners used to pay for a recycling dumpster but it was removed due to misuse.

Dumpsters and Trash Hauling

Professional trash hauling is one of the services paid for by the Association of Willow Brook Owners through the owners’ monthly fees.  All residents should know which items are not to be mixed with regular trash or with recycling. These are listed on the websites of the Department of Public Health of Saint Louis County  or Republic Services, a private company that provides trash service for by the Willow Brook community..

Yard waste is one item that should not be mixed in with the trash.  Instead, residents should put yard waste in paper bags or tied in bundles and place it next to the trash cans or dumpster.  Willow Brook staff will collect and compost it.  If any other items are placed NEXT TO the dumpster or trash cans—they will not be hauled away.   Republic drivers will not stop to load the trash into the truck, therefore all residents are expected to deposit their trash INTO the dumpster or trash cans.  Large items such as mattresses or couches can be cut up and put into the dumpster, offered to a charity for resale or gift, or some residents have had items hauled away by 1-800-got-junk.

Please note:   Republic haulers are not able to empty the dumpster if it is blocked by a car, yard waste, trash, etc.
